Summary:
The IT Support -VoIP Specialist will support the day to day technical needs and questions of our clients remotely and onsite. This role is for a Subject Matter Expert on VoIP solutions, as a member of our technical services delivery team.
This is a full-time position to work for Big Idea Technology at our New York City office. This position is for someone who not only wants to continue learning but does well being put in different situations and presented with new challenges on a regular basis. We are a Managed Services company which will allow the proper candidate to have access to cutting edge technologies and projects. Primary Responsibilities:
- VoIP Phone System Support
- Networking (wired and wireless)
- First level troubleshooting of end user issues
- iOS and Android Support
- Workstation Administration and Repair – Windows and Mac
- Maintain systems documentation
Qualifications (demonstrated ability in the following):
- Two or more years of experience in VoIP management, administration and/or support role.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Diagnostic skills in relation to troubleshooting technical issues
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly
- Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast paced environment
Desired skills:
- Experience with Skype for Business / Lync Server for PSTN, Cisco and Mitel/Shoretel systems
Education Requirements:
- Bacehlors degree in Computer Science or IT related field or equivalent experience
